- KOREMIX is the brand name of KOREMIX CO., LTD. Steel fiber.
- KOREMIX is made of low carbon cold drawn steel wire and produced in accordance
with ASTM A820 Type I.
- KOREMIX greatly improves the physical characteristics of concrete.
- It is easy to use and no special equipment are necessary in the course of
mixing and pouring.
Special properties
- Koremix greatly increases fatigue resistancem, shear strength, flexibility,
impact resistance and breaking strength of concrete.
- Due to aforementioned properties, the actual required thickness of concrete
can be substantially reduced.
- Because of it's unique geometric shape, Koremix evenly disperses in concrete,
thus improving concrete solidarity.
- In many tunnel projects, wire mesh installation is not necessary, This gives

- Bundle shaped steel fiber which fiber ball does not occur when mixed with

Advantages of Koremix Reinforced Concretes

Increase of Fatigue Stress
Koremix reinforced concrete has much higher fatigue stress value and
crack resistance thus minimizing cost for repair and maintenance.

Reduction of crack width
Crack width is substantially reduced when concrete is reinforced by Koremix,
especially under severe conditions such as sea water structures and dock
facilities.

Increase of impact resistance
By reinforcing concrete with 0.5~2 volume percent of Koremix, impact
resistance can be increased by approximately 20 times. And this makes
Koremix the best choice for airport runways, bridges and earthquake proof
buildings.

Effect of Koremix Length
The effect of steel fiber reinforcement varies by the length and length/diameter
ratio. Theoretically, steel fiber with longer and large LD ratio is better
than shorter ones. However, when they are long with large LD ratio, spraying
may not be easy and may not evenly disperse in concrete. We recommend
50~60mm length for floor concrete and 25~35mm for shotcrete.

3-Dimensional Reinforcement
Conventional reinforcement bars and wire mesh are basically designed
for two dimensioanl reinforcement, however, Koremix enables three dimensional
reinforcements.

Electric corrosion restance
Conventional reinforcement bars and wire mesh forms a continuous electric
conductor and they are liable to electric corrosion due to the cathodic
effect, but Koremix do not form any continuous conductor and electric
corrosion is much reduced.

When concrete is reinforced by Koremix
Koremix make the concrete overcome the brittleness to ductitity, thus drastically
increasing the toughness and fatigue resistance of concrete.

| Sometimes reinforcement bars for the floor
concrete are ot necessary and in may cases concrete pump truck is not necessary
either, due to reinforcement of Koremix, and in this case the construction
time can be halved. |
Koremix can be conveyored in to remicon truck at the site
or it can be premixed at the concrete batch plant. |
